Connect aldo to Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code

What you can ask it

Talk to your agent as you would to a teammate. These are real requests:

• Build a scorecard: "Build a Sales scorecard for this quarter, with objectives and KPIs for each perspective."
• Report a value: "Report that this week's sales were 182k and that the forecast at close is still 780k."
• See what's at risk: "Which KPIs in my scorecard are at risk, and what comments are there about them?"
• Compare periods: "Compare attainment this quarter with last quarter and tell me what changed."
• Prepare a meeting: "Summarize how the Operations team is doing for Monday's review."

The agent brings the conversation, and aldo brings the data, the calculation rules and the method. Your KPIs and targets are calculated the same way as in the app.

Connect it

This is aldo's MCP address, and you can also see and copy it in Settings › AI connections:

App menus change over time. If something does not match what you see, look for the option to add a custom connector or an MCP server by its address.

In Claude

• Open Customize › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
• Paste aldo's address and choose Add.
• Choose Connect. aldo opens so you can sign in, pick the organization and the permissions, and press Allow.
• On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector first in Organization settings › Connectors (Add, then Custom). Then each person connects with their own account.

In ChatGPT

• Go to ChatGPT Plugins, select the + button and then Add custom MCP server.
• Enter a name, paste aldo's address and set authentication to OAuth.
• Create the connection. aldo opens so you can sign in, pick the organization and the permissions, and press Allow.
• Adding custom servers depends on your plan and your workspace policies. If you don't see the option, ask whoever manages your ChatGPT.

In Claude Code

• In your terminal, run claude mcp add --transport http aldo https://api.wearealdo.com/mcp.
• Inside Claude Code, type /mcp, select aldo and follow the steps in your browser.
• aldo opens so you can sign in, pick the organization and the permissions, and press Allow.

You decide what it can do

When you connect, aldo shows who is asking for access and you pick the organization, if you belong to several. Another organization is another connection. Then you choose a permission for each area of aldo, Strategy and Tracking:

• No access: the agent can't do anything in that area.
• View only: the agent reads, without changing anything.
• View and edit: the agent reads and also writes.

An app aldo cannot verify shows as Unverified and starts at View only. To let it edit, you confirm it explicitly. You can change the permissions or disconnect an app at any time in Settings › AI connections. The app stops working at once. An administrator can turn the MCP off for the whole organization and revoke any connection.

Security and privacy

• It acts with your identity and your permissions. What you can't see or change in aldo, your agent can't either.
• It doesn't delete. It archives scorecards, objectives, KPIs and metrics, and you can restore them. The only thing it can remove is a cause-and-effect relation between two KPIs.
• It doesn't decide for you. It never approves a scorecard, finishes planning or corrects a closed period.
• Everything stays in view. What the agent changes appears in Activity with your name and the app, for example "Mariana via Claude".
• aldo doesn't store your conversation. It keeps a log of the calls the agent makes (which tool, when and with what result), and deletes it after 90 days.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to connect it? An aldo account and an account with Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code. Some features of each app depend on its plan.

Can the agent see other teams' work? Only what you can see. If your access level doesn't include a scorecard, your agent doesn't see it either.

Can it delete my strategy by mistake? No. It archives, and you can restore. The only thing it removes is a relation between two KPIs.

How do I disconnect it? In Settings › AI connections, disconnect the app. You can also revoke it from the AI app itself.

What happens if I change my aldo password? AI connections stop working and you have to connect them again. Signing out of aldo in your browser does not disconnect them.
